ABOUT
ABOUT DNOW WEEKEND
Disciple Now Weekend hosted by Spring Bayou Baptist Church (styled as DNOW Weekend or DNOW WKND) is a local youth conference that spans into a 24 hours full of Bible study, worship sessions, and activities both small groups style and on a large group scale. The event covers the weekend (Friday - Saturday) for students to strengthen their walk with Christ through fellowship, worship, and study.
Every year, Spring Bayou has been kind enough to open their building to host DNOW Weekend, and event many churches have for teenage students, and each year the event grows in number of students and churches that join.
Each year, DNOW will invite a worship band to lead us in a time of worship and we will invite a speaker to come preach during the sessions. The whole weekend is prayed over for months before the weekend arrives. Adults from each church will open up their houses as host homes for their church's boys and girls to stay over during the night of DNOW. This is a great way to continue those conversations that were said the day before and look forward to the day ahead.
We make it our top priority that these students have the freedom and space to worship Jesus, pray and ask those tough questions that they are facing. We want to share the gospel of Jesus Church and the love of Christ. If only one student comes to know Christ, we know that this was all worth it.
DNOW Weekend is typically the first or second weekend of March depending on the year.
“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
I Timothy 4:12 NKJV
MISSION STATEMENT
We believe that this is an important time in teenagers and young adults life when it comes to the stress, addictions, distractions, and peer pressure. We want to come together, as a body of believers in Christ, to take students to a deeper level in their relationship with Christ through Bible study, worship and small groups.

OUR TYPICAL DNOW WKND
DNOW EVENING
The first night, all students and staff gather for a time of worship, prayer and a message from our DNOW speaker. This night we allow the Holy Spirit to fill us with love and to freely worship God. *Adults are also welcome
SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDY
Leaders of each churches have been prayed over to lead our students in a time of study. We provide specific Bible study materials that align with that age group according to the DNOW theme of the year.
WORSHIP
Throughout the weekend, students gather for a time to disconnect from the world and fix their eyes and hearts on Jesus. Each year we ask God to select our worship leader to play along with our DNOW band. We step out of the spotlight and allow Christ to take stage.
HOST HOMES
Each church will have faithful parents host the students for the night. Boys will stay in one home from their church and the girls will stay in a separate home hosted by their church. Breakfast and a Morning Connect time will be provided for the students upon the church's request.
DNOW SUNRISE
Students will gather to kick off the morning in a high energy way with worship, games, and a message from the DNOW speaker.
LARGE GROUP STUDY
Each year we ask God to select a DNOW speaker to bring the Word of Christ and Hope to our students. The messages spoken are also aligned with the theme of the day.
DNOW REC
Students will participate in games and activities with others from the churches attending. This is a great way to build relationships with other brothers and sisters in Christ over the weekend.
PRAYER
We have a fun and Spirit filled weekend that is loaded with multiple actives, furthermore we can not make this weekend happen without God's Miracle Working Power. Prayer is key to use as we operate on prayer and the working of the Holy Spirit and we want to be Christ-like to these students no matter their background or what they are facing today.
